Salt
SAFE AND EFFECTIVE SALT REMOVAL
Key features
- Lowered surface tension, increased water spread
- Designed to create surface ‘sheeting effect’
- Improved water ‘run-off’ for more effective salt removal
- Waster-based, pH neutral & biodegradable
- Available in ready-to-use and concentrated versions
Salt removal:
The problem with water alone
- Salt is pH neutral (pH 7) and therefore cannot be ‘neutralised’ any further.
- Water does effectively dissolve salt.
- However, water evaporates and salt crystals do not.
- When salt water evaporates, salt crystals remain on the surface.
- Salt is ‘hygroscopic’; it attracts and retains moisture.
- Creates perfect environment for corrosion when salt is on a surface.
- Moisture
- Oxygen
- Corrodible surface
- Salt must be dissolved and removed from the surface.

Surface tension, water spread and sheeting effect:
- XCP Salt Remover “Makes Water Work Harder”.
- Water itself has a high level of ‘surface tension’; the tension that holds a water bead together.
- XCP Salt Remover radically reduces surface tension to deliver improved surface spread and coverage.
- Improved run-off means more effective salt removal.
